Insanity

The last few weeks have been absurd. Truly absurd. A few months ago, when I picked a date for Clementine's naming ceremony, I had no way to know I'd be starting a new job the following Monday. But that's how things work out:-) So, I went to a conference last weekend, I flew home on Tuesday night, on Wednesday our family started coming into town, on Friday I closed the door to my old office for the last time, and on Sunday 40 or so of our nearest and dearest showed up to welcome Clementine into the Jewish faith. I'm gonna have some fabulous photos to share soon but there are some technical challenges that have gotta be overcome first. Oh, and I have to sleep:-)

I was driving Clementine to daycare today on my way to the new job, completely lost in my own head, running through everything we'd jammed into the past couple of days.

From the backseat, I heard Miss C singing the refrain to this song on repeat, "Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful, don't hate me cause I'm beautiful!" (Google Keri Hilson's Pretty Girl Rock if you're not up on your Top 40:-) It might be time to remind our chica that despite having an all-about-her weekend, it's time to come back down to earth... but that can wait. On this particular Monday morning, she sang and I joined in.
