UPPY!!!

We're trying to break Clementine of the habit where she screams "UPPY!!!" anytime she wants us to pick her up.

Uppy is her adaptation of the word "Up." The frequent "uppy" refrains are starting to sound a little demanding, and since she's three and a half years old, I'm beginning to feel like there should be a "please" or something in there somewhere.

We've tried to make a concerted effort to ask her to rephrase the request. "How do you ask nicely, Clementine?" we ask before we scoop her up.

We're looking for "Can you please pick me up?" or something along those lines.

What we get is, "Can I PLEASE have some UPPY?!?!"
